1. My Portuguese classes

I give one-on-one Brazilian Portuguese lessons, each of them tailored to your needs. My experience includes a graduation in a top management school in Brazil, 4 years in an American consulting company - KPMG and teaching executives from multinational companies.

I teach various topics:

• conversation
• grammar
• pronunciation
• writing
• Portuguese for travelers
• Brazilian culture

You will also learn Brazilian business etiquette, including topics as:

• Brazilians do not perceive themselves as Hispanics, and will only take offense if addressed in Spanish. But if you do speak Spanish you may ask to speak it, and they will accept it better
• Brazilians also consider themselves Americans. Consequently, don't use the phrase 'in America' when referring to the United States
• Brazilians conduct business only through personal connections. There must also be an implicit understanding that the business relationship will be long-term

2. How you learn

I select a methodology according to your actual knowledge and objectives. My methods include:

Reading news, articles and texts Conversation tailored to your interests Writing - usually as homework Multimedia - News, internet, movies Grammar - always practiced Homework - one class, one homework Exams - two per module

4. Appointments & Rates

• My schedule is flexible with availability in the morning, afternoon and evening (Monday - Saturday)
• Rates are:
  • $ 70.00 / 50 minutes
  • $ 120.00 / 90 minutes
• Classes can be taken in your place or mine.
• Classes should be paid in advance for a full month
• I provide invoices for my students

I provide valid corporate invoices and receipts with a New York E.I.N. so that you can get a refund from your employer.
